DESCRIPTION

SILK BLACK WITH NEEDLE: The sutures are braided, nonabsorbable, sterile, non-mutagenic surgical sutures composed of natural silk fibers called fibroin. The sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissue, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. Silk is intended to be for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in various surgical surgery, such as cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological procedures.
